Believe the Hype! Battle Born Enduro and Northstar Enduro #1

June 17, 2014

During the first weekend of June, Reno, NV was the first stop of the California Enduro Series hosting the much anticipated Battle Born Enduro.  The BBE showcased the best trails on Peavine Mountain which included twisy singletrack, wide open, loose descents, a few leg and lung burning climbs, and a techy/rocky/steep final stage 5.  The RideGiant/RideNorthstar  team came together to race our best and enjoy the festivities.

Northstar Enduro #1-Big things come in small packages.  As part of the Northstar Enduro Series, the first event was a great one.  With two stages, racers had no room for error and did their best to make every second count.  The first stage started at the top of the mountain and proved to be a long, arm and leg burning roller coaster ride filled with rock gardens, buffed jumps and berms, and fast flowing single track.  The second stage was a bit shorter and took riders through the lower part of the mountain finishing near the Northstar Village.

The RideGiant/RideNorthstar team did well with a 2nd place Pro Womens finish from Karin Edwards, a 1st place finish from Blake Bockius in the sport category, and a pair of 4th place finishes from Ryan Icanberry and Patrick Romano in their expert categories.  All in all, the Enduro was a shorty but packed amazing trails and tons of fun-looking forward to Enduro #2!
