Gear Review – Fox Striker Helmet

July 25, 2012

One of the biggest accolades of a bicycle helmet is that you didn’t even notice you had it on.  This honor can surely be bestowed upon the FOX  Striker helmet.Image

This premium XC and trail-riding helmet offers lightweight and excellent ventilation without sacrificing protection.  The deep rear profile of the helmet really cradles the back of the head and provides more coverage than traditional XC helmets. This additional protection while still maintaining a sleek profile separates the Fox Striker from the rest of the pack.

Out of the box , the s/m size fit me like a glove and the easy to use rear adjustment feature makes dialing in the fit a cinch. The ample padding makes for a very comfortable interface and did a great job of absorbing sweat.

A whopping 22 vents do an outstanding job of keeping you cool and the removable visor shields the sun nicely without obstructing your view of the trail ahead. The Fox Striker is one of the most well ventilated helmets I have ever worn.

In summary, The Fox Striker helmet is a lightweight, well-ventilated helmet that offers great looks and should be on the short list for anyone looking for a new XC and trail-riding lid.
